This ambitious vision was laid out by executives who assert that the area desperately needs an integrated luxury experience that combines residential, hospitality, and dining options into a single cohesive destination.
Nick Perez, the president of the condominium division for Related Group, articulated the sentiments of many locals and visitors alike, stating, “Fort Lauderdale — and South Florida in general — has been waiting for a true destination that has a Monaco-like feel.” The project’s goal is not merely to enhance the architectural landscape but to fulfill a vital market gap, introducing a five-star resort-level experience that Fort Lauderdale currently lacks.
The proposed development spans an impressive 40 acres of land and water, incorporating multiple condominium towers alongside a luxurious St. Regis hotel that promises around 200 rooms. The current DoubleTree hotel will make way for this opulent establishment, representing a significant shift in the type of accommodation offered in the area.
